The highly anticipated first Christmas album from Robbie Williams, “The Christmas Present,” has finally arrived! Released on November 22nd via Columbia Records/Sony Music UK, this double-disc collection, available digitally, on 2CDs, and 2LPs, is a delightful blend of beloved holiday standards and original compositions. Divided into “Christmas Past” and “Christmas Future,” the album features collaborations with an array of talented guest artists. The first disc, “Christmas Past,” offers reimagined versions of timeless carols such as “Winter Wonderland” (featuring the LMA choir), “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”, a rendition of “The Christmas Song” (made famous by The Nat King Cole Trio), and Slade’s “Merry Xmas Everybody” (with Jamie Cullum). A particularly heartwarming track features Robbie in a duet with his father, Peter Conway, on “It’s A Wonderful Life,” while “Santa Baby” sees him paired with German singer Helene Fischer. The second disc, “Christmas Future,” showcases original tracks including “Time For Change,” “Home,” “Fairytales” (with Rod Stewart), and “Bad Sharon” (featuring boxer Tyson Fury). It also presents fresh interpretations of classic songs like “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” (a duet with Bryan Adams) and “I Believe In Father Christmas.” A deluxe edition further enriches the listening experience with four bonus tracks, including a second duet with Rod Stewart on “It Takes Two.” Williams himself expressed immense joy in completing this project, describing it as a dream fulfilled and a truly enjoyable recording experience. This 13th studio album marks another significant achievement in the already extraordinary career of one of the world’s most beloved performers. Recorded across various locations including London, Stoke-on-Trent, Los Angeles, and Vancouver, this album sees Robbie reunite with his longtime collaborator Guy Chambers, who produced the majority of the project alongside Richard Flack. The album follows the success of ‘The Heavy Entertainment Show’ (2016), his first album for Columbia/Sony Music, and comes on the heels of a spectacular year that included a sold-out residency in Las Vegas and a hugely successful performance at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park. Williams’ accomplishments are truly impressive, with 6 albums in the UK’s Top 100 best-selling albums of all time, over 80 million albums sold globally, 14 number 1 singles, and a record-breaking 18 BRIT Awards – more than any other artist in history.
