Alexia’s Festive Soundscape: “My Xmas” Album Release

On November 25th, Alexia’s highly anticipated Christmas album, “My Xmas,” will grace digital stores and CD shelves. This ambitious project, produced by Luca Serpenti and distributed by Ada/Warner, features ten uniquely reimagined English-language Christmas classics. Alexia embarks on this festive journey with a renewed lightness of spirit, a deeper self-awareness, and a fresh perspective on her career. Driven by an unwavering passion for music – a necessity rather than a choice – Alexia found her creative spark last December while decorating for the holidays. The nostalgic ambiance ignited a desire to recapture the youthful dreams of a girl who adored blues and soul, igniting the concept of a Christmas cover album. The selection process centered on a repertoire that deeply resonated with her, drawing heavily from the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s, showcasing artists from Stevie Wonder and Darlene Love to Brenda Lee and Tom Petty. The result is a vibrant collection brimming with the joy, energy, and hope that defines Alexia’s artistry – a much-needed antidote to current times. While the album includes some traditional favorites, it steers clear of being a purely mellow affair. The title, “My Xmas,” reflects this personalized approach. Working closely with Serpenti and her team, Alexia crafted a sound designed for live performance with her band, admitting perhaps a slight overindulgence in backing vocals, fueled by their shared excitement. Alexia’s signature vocals and heartfelt interpretations breathe new life into these cherished songs. The process was an absolute delight, and Alexia eagerly anticipates sharing the live experience. She’ll embark on a nationwide Italian tour, performing in theaters and clubs from late November through January.
