Diego Dalla Palma’s Revolutionary Blog: Diegoxte—An Interview

The renowned beauty expert Diego Dalla Palma has transcended conventional standards, infusing his profession with artistry and achieving global recognition. A celebrated icon in television, fashion, and theatre, he uniquely blends professionalism with a captivating persona—a blend of poetry, playful eccentricity, sharp wit, profound sensitivity, and a touch of wistful melancholy. A brief conversation reveals a man who shuns banality. This distinctive character is reflected in his blog, “Diegoxte,” which he describes as an unconventional online forum—a platform for exchanging advice and fostering discussions free from undue influence. He eschews the term “influencer” for his collaborators, preferring “non-influencers,” explaining that their goal isn’t to promote products but to inspire, offering creative input and celebrating individual beauty without sacrificing personal identity. This counters the widespread trend toward conformity. This core team is comprised of exceptionally talented young individuals (aged 17 to 32) who will create video content alongside explanatory texts. Selected from hundreds of applicants, their unconventional, artistic, and imaginative perspectives on beauty, coupled with their compelling personal narratives, resonated deeply with Dalla Palma. He humorously notes: “They’re as mad as I am!” The team includes Julian Cerro (17), a cutting-edge fashion designer; make-up artists Martina Bacoccoli (22), Michelle Cudicio (23), and Alessandra Dini (32); Lady B—Roberto Gilardoni (22), a make-up artist and drag queen; hair stylists Ovidio Fiorucci (17) and Vittorio Puppi; and Eleonora Sabet (21), a creative, self-taught photographer whose work has appeared in both print and online publications. Dalla Palma himself contributes a column titled “Spunti e sputi” (“Insights and Spit”), offering his unique perspective on beauty, interspersed with humorous video commentary on current events and social issues. While his career has been richly rewarding, his current aspirations involve travel—a pursuit often curtailed by his demanding professional schedule. When asked about his definition of beauty, he simply states, “Beauty is rarity.” Considering the prevalence of commercially driven blogs and influencer culture, he acknowledges the potentially controversial nature of Diegoxte but simply declares, “I’m poetically incorrect!” This statement encapsulates the essence of Diego Dalla Palma: a slightly mad, humorous, and profoundly inspiring individual whose work is a vibrant spectacle of beauty.
