Levante’s “Magmamemoria”: A Volcanic Outpouring of Emotion

“Andrà tutto bene,” a beacon of hope amidst current anxieties, paved the way for Levante’s latest album, “Magmamemoria,” released October 4th. The track’s success propelled her to a summer tour across Italy’s iconic amphitheaters. Following this, “Lo stretto necessario,” a heartfelt ode to her Sicilian homeland, featuring Carmen Consoli, was released as the second single. Preceding the album’s full release, “Bravi tutti Voi,” a powerful critique of society’s susceptibility to manufactured idols, served as a third precursor. “Magmamemoria” itself is a collection of songs brimming with passionate recollections – a fiery blend of anger and affection, mirroring the incandescent lava flowing through Levante’s creative veins. The album’s tracks, meticulously crafted and brimming with lyrical finesse, are far from commonplace; each feels like a miniature poem, with the title track embodying this poetic quality perfectly. The album is a quintessential Levante production. A pre-tour concert (“data zero”) for the “Magmamemoria” tour is scheduled for November 23rd, 2019, at the Mediolanum Forum in Assago, Milan. Meanwhile, Levante is traversing Italy to personally sign copies of her album; tour dates can be found on her social media.
