The globally renowned, 24-time Grammy Award-winning artist Beyoncé has released the deluxe edition of her album, “The Lion King: The Gift,” digitally. This expanded soundtrack accompanies her visual album, “Black Is King,” and features the previously released fourteen tracks from the original “The Lion King: The Gift” album, augmented by two bonus cuts: “BLACK PARADE” (released in June) and a remix of “FIND YOUR WAY BACK.” The complete track listing includes: “BIGGER,” “FIND YOUR WAY BACK,” “DON’T JEALOUS ME,” “JA ARA E,” “NILE,” “MOOD 4 EVA,” “WATER,” “BROWN SKIN GIRL,” “KEYS TO THE KINGDOM,” “ALREADY,” “OTHERSIDE,” “MY POWER,” “SCAR,” and “SPIRIT” (from Disney’s “The Lion King”), along with the aforementioned bonus tracks. “Black Is King,” debuting July 31st on Disney+, is a visual masterpiece marking the anniversary of Disney’s blockbuster film, “The Lion King,” and showcases music videos for “Brown Skin Girl,” “Mood 4 Eva,” and “My Power.” A year in the making, the visual album boasts a diverse creative team, including directors Emmanuel Adjei, Blitz Bazawule, Pierre Debusschere, Jenn Nkiru, Ibra Ake, Dikayl Rimmasch, Jake Nava, and Kwasi Fordjour. The project boasts a star-studded cast, featuring models Aweng Ade-Chuol and Adut Akech, supermodel Naomi Campbell, Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles-Lawson, Oscar-winning actress and author Lupita Nyong’o, and musicians Kelly Rowland, Pharrell Williams, and JAY-Z, alongside many collaborators from “The Lion King: The Gift.” Filmed across diverse locations spanning continents—from New York and Los Angeles to South Africa, West Africa, London, and Belgium—the visual album’s cinematography captures the beauty of its people and landscapes. Its exceptional cast of actors and dancers from these varied locations enriched the film’s narrative and its dynamic choreography.
