Following a captivating performance at Piano City Milano within the majestic Castello Sforzesco, Mika is poised to enthrall Italian audiences with six extraordinary concerts across the nation’s premier summer festivals. His tour, a vibrant blend of music, artistry, and emotion, will transform venues into poetic circuses, evoking joy, tears, and exhilaration. Kicking off in April with a sold-out show at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, his 2023 World Tour has already swept across Asia (Tokyo, Osaka, and the Seoul Jazz Festival) and Europe (France, the Isle of Wight, Greece, Morocco, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, and Monaco). The Italian leg commences July 8th at the Arena della Regina in Cattolica, followed by performances at Umbria Jazz, Marostica Summer Festival, Sonic Park Matera, Arena La Civitella, and the No Borders Music Festival. This tour, inspired by the wish “May your head always bloom,” centers on creativity, artistry, strength, and freedom. Each show is meticulously tailored to its unique location, featuring bespoke setlists, a striking collection of oversized floral arrangements, a fantastical piano with lion-like legs, an evocative tiger head, a Pierpaolo Piccioli-designed outfit, and sixty garments created by Mika himself. This artistic vision is the result of a collaborative journey across Italy, uniting diverse artisans: from the Ocagiuliva carnival volunteer group in San Giovanni Persiceto to renowned European costume designer Emanuela dall’Aglio in Parma, Bruno Simeone’s atelier in Martina Franca, and a Reggio Calabria sculptor specializing in monumental flowers. This creative odyssey mirrored the creation of his latest French album. The unifying force throughout is Mika’s music, which has captivated millions globally for over fifteen years. This celebrated Lebanese-born singer-songwriter boasts over 10 million albums sold, 3 billion streams, and 1 billion video views worldwide, earning gold and platinum awards in 32 countries. His unique brand of alternative pop, brimming with joy and technical brilliance, firmly establishes him as one of this generation’s most innovative artists.
