Gianna Nannini’s Soulful New Album, “Sei nell’Anima,” Launches Today

Gianna Nannini unveils her latest soul-infused album, *Sei nell’Anima*, available today, March 22nd. This deeply personal project, building on the bluesy sounds of her Nashville-recorded album, *La Differenza*, delves into the artist’s cherished Afro-American musical influences. The twelve original tracks represent a journey of self-discovery, as Nannini explains: “My songs begin with keywords. ‘Anima,’ meaning ‘soul,’ was my starting point. Every nation possesses its own unique soul, and I sought my own. This search became a mission, guiding me through the creation of this album’s twelve songs.” *Sei nell’Anima* boasts production credits from renowned figures including Andy Wright (Massive Attack, Jeff Beck, Simply Red) and Troy Miller (Amy Winehouse, Gregory Porter, Diana Ross), as well as guitarist and producer Raül Refree (Rosalía, Guitarricadelafuente). The album is available across all digital platforms and in various physical formats: three vinyl versions (black, white autographed exclusive to Amazon.it, and grey numbered and autographed exclusive to the Sony Music Store) and CD (with an autographed edition exclusive to LaFeltrinelli). Accompanying the album release is the new single, “Io voglio te,” co-written with Alex “Raige” Vella and Mauro Paoluzzi. A musical tribute to her devoted fans, the song’s emotion is powerfully captured in its accompanying video, showcasing highlights from Nannini’s captivating live performances worldwide. A film based on a portion of her life story, *Sei nell’Anima: A Fragment of Her History*, detailing her childhood and early career up to age 30, and culminating in a pivotal turning point that she considers her true rebirth in 1983, will premiere on Netflix May 2nd. Loosely adapted from her autobiography, *Cazzi miei*, published by Mondadori, a revised edition retitled *Sei nell’Anima (Cazzi miei)*, including a new preface outlining the link between the book and its film adaptation, will be released concurrently with the film’s launch. Nannini’s highly anticipated European tour, *Sei nell’Anima Tour – European Leg*, kicks off in November 2024. Distributed by Friends & Partners and co-produced with 3Monkeys, the tour will bring the rock icon back to her fans with unforgettable shows in Geneva, Zurich, Munich, Hanover, Frankfurt, Berlin, Essen, Ludwigsburg, Ravensburg, Nuremberg, Kassel, Florence, Turin, Milan, Eboli, and Rome.
