RAI Autumn 2017 Programming Highlights

On June 28th, at Milan State University, RAI unveiled its fall 2017 television schedule. The announcement, presented by RAI Director General Mario Orfeo and the heads of RaiUno, RaiDue, RaiTre, and Rai4, featured both returning favorites and exciting new additions. September 2017 will see a variety of premieres. The music scene will be vibrant, with a four-part second season of “Stasera Casa Mika” on RaiDue, promising fresh talent and captivating guests. RaiUno will showcase Fiorella Mannoia’s one-woman show, “1, 2, 3, Fiorella,” airing on September 23rd and 30th. Furthermore, special musical events are planned: a tribute to Luciano Pavarotti, hosted by Carlo Conti, and a performance from Andrea Bocelli and Elton John at the Colosseum on September 15th, presented by Milly Carlucci. RaiDue will also bring back “Pechino Express,” hosted by Costantino Della Gherardesca, featuring Alice Venturi and Guglielmo Scilla. Starting October 1st at 5:45 PM on RaiUno, Paralympic champion Bebe Vio will host “La Vita è una Figata,” a thought-provoking program. Rai4 will air a second season of “Kudos – Tutto passa dal Web,” featuring Leonardo Decarli. The popular social media group, The Show, will take center stage in “Social House,” a unique project testing the power of online communication. Leveraging their social media influence, they will renovate an abandoned building over three weeks, with the finished structure donated to the community. Many programs have been renewed, some with familiar hosts, others with changes. For instance, “Quelli Che il Calcio” will be presented by Luca and Paolo, who will also reprise their roles in “Camera cafè – Il Nuovo Mondo,” airing weekdays at 9 PM on RaiDue. The future of “Rai Dire Nius” and its famous coffee machine remains uncertain.
