Alvin’s Work Unveiled at Venice’s “NO MASKS” Exhibition

Biennale Spaces, a Venetian cultural organization headed by Roberto Caruso, and Edizioni Paguro, a Salerno-based publisher, are jointly presenting a thought-provoking contemporary art exhibition. Titled “NO MASKS. The Real Reality Beyond the Social Filters,” this collective showcase, running from January 24th to April 15th, 2025, at the Giardino Bianco Art Space in Venice, aims to expose the authentic “masks” – in the classical sense of both visage and specter – that individuals conceal daily. Curated by Michele Citro, renowned for his work on international art events such as the “Biennale del Gattopardo,” the exhibition features works by Elia Alunni Tullini, Alvin, Saturno Buttò, Giovanni Cavaliere, Sabatino Cersosimo, Luigi Citarrella, Raffaele Cornaggia, Emanuela De Franceschi, Mario Ferrante, Angelo Giordano, Emanuele Gregolin, MiTch Laurenzana, Angela Lazazzera, Matteo Lo Greco, Marco Manicardi, Giuseppe Negro, Eliana Petrizzi, Emanuele Scuotto, Terenzio Sonda, Fernando Spano, and Marialuisa Tadei. The artists use their creative expressions to explore the ethical, aesthetic, psychological, sociological, and anthropological facets of this hidden reality, echoing the spirit of Carnival – a time when societal filters dissolve, revealing the unadulterated self. This aligns with the theme of this year’s Venetian Carnival, dedicated to Giacomo Casanova, whose life embodies the duality of persona and reality. The exhibition will include workshops exploring art, emotion, personality, and identity. Biennale Spaces also manages other nearby free exhibition spaces, Santanna992 and Castello96, demonstrating their commitment to enriching the Castello district’s cultural landscape.
